Spring Garden Party
The cold winter days, brings a craving for Spring. To help usher in the season of renewal and life, I thought a garden party would be the best medicine for any home.
Today I've joined a few of my favorite blogging friends to bring you a Spring Decor Home Tour. Each decorator will be sharing with you many wonderful tips on how you can welcome spring into your home! If you've just visited my friend Bethany at Crisp Collective, I welcome you. Was her home not just decorated beautifully for Spring? So many great tips!
When you think of Spring, views of gardens full of beautiful flowers, fresh greens and rabbits hopping around creating new life. It almost reminds me of Peter Cotton Tail enjoying himself within the garden.
When I was a kid, I loved seeing the blooming flowers that would fill my Aunt's flower beds as we would come in to visit for Easter. It was a family tradition to travel to my Mom's family for Easter in West Texas, up by Lubbock. The exciting part about the whole trip is that I knew on Saturday we would go shopping for a new dress to go to church in. And sometimes there would be a new Easter basket added for the egg hunting extravagganza.
When I found these baskets I just knew they would be perfect for adding flowers to them. One of my favorite spring flowers are peonies, what's yours? Bringing flowers into your home may they be faux or real can really brighten up a space. Years ago I wouldn't even buy faux because well you know they just screamed fake. But, these days they really are contenders. Plus you don't have to water them.
Another love of mine recently has been these cake and cupcake platters. I've started a collection of them because they are so fun to decorate with. Here I used them to add height to the table's centerpiece. You can spread them out like I did here or group them together and use them to display items.
Another way to bring a party to any table is through dishes and collectibles. Here I'm displaying my collection of china with Spring touches behind my table to carry the theme. Don't be afraid to use china to house flowers and plants.
You can see here I added some real plants I got from Lowes into my tea cups. So cute! Just those little touches can make your room unique.
A garden party isn't complete until you add some homemade fun to it. If you have some plastic eggs lying around from past Easter egg hunts, gather them up because I have the perfect party craft for you. You can get all the info on how to by heading to Eggcelent Spring Craft.
I hope you've enjoyed my take on a Spring Garden Party. You can use these ideas for your Easter lunch or dinner, girls luncheon, or just to bring that extra Spring flair in your home decor. One last thing before I go, I wanted to share with you this little corner in my living room. If you end up creating a floral basket don't be afraid to reuse them in another space when your done using them somewhere else. I love to move my items around within my home to re-purpose.
Here's to a Hoppy Good time at your next Spring Garden Party!
