Shabby Chic Master Bedroom

Ruffles, soft linens, white accents with a touch of color.

When we moved into our new house in July, I was excited to give a personal touch to our Master Bedroom.  Out of all rooms in the house this should be the most important room to make comfortable while creating a happy place to retreat. So many times we make our living rooms the first room to decorate but I believe when you love your bedroom and can unwind after a long day, your taking the steps to peace. You owe it to yourself to make this space yours.

When I decided to go shabby chic I had to find the bedding first.  So of course I went to my favorite store, Homegoods. I seem to always find something there. My obsession with Homegoods is so real that I usually have to tell myself don't get a basket.  If I grab one, it will be full.  The day I went shopping for my bedroom I walked in and said, "yes I do, I'll take that cart today."  Here's what I found a coverlet by PiuBelle and 4 matching sham pillows. PiuBelle's linens are amazing.  If you can find discounted will be better on your pocket book because they are a little pricey. Right after I found the bedding and shams an accent pillow was needed.

When decorating your bed here's what you need: nice pillows, comfy sheets, coverlet or duvet, matching bed skirt and the final touch, throw blanket to cuddle under. I like to use coverlets because they're light weight for my hubby who doesn't like to sleep under heavy covers. Duvets give extra warmth for those who are like me that enjoy to be nice and toasty.

I couldn't believe the luck I had finding these curtains. They too are from PiuBelle which I found all that I needed on TJMaxx's website. They just bring the whole look together to give that extra shabbiness to the room.

Hope you guys enjoyed a look into my new master bedroom's decor.  Tell me what you think. Don't forget to follow me on instagram @welcominghome and also facebook @welcominghome
